Search Engine Optimisation is one of those black art subjects that some web companies would like you to think they hold special secrets too. If you pay us to optimise your site we will do the following:-

Use descriptive Alt tags.
Ensure descriptive Page titling
Page content must be relevant and contain the maximum amount of keywords – Title, description, body text, bold and emblazed.
META Keywords included in site
META Description included in site
File name – this should also be descriptive of the content
H1/2 tags for titles.
Use keywords in links.
Use as much plain text as possible.
Try not to use JavaScript unnecessarily – especially when working with content.
Don’t use frames unnecessarily or preferably at all.
Submit site to all major directories
Submit site to all relevant portal sites; Other sites linking to yours.
Submit to all major search engines
Don’t use variables in URL – use URL rewriter
Only use graphics when HTML code will not suffice.
Include an XML site map as standard.
Use relative instead of root links, except in include files.
