Task:
Willmott Dixon were one of Propeller's first clients back in 2001. During the past 10 years they have grown and diversified to become one of the UK’s largest privately owned construction groups. Propeller has been with them to one degree or another every step of the way, whether working directly with Rick Willmott on brand design and Group marketing activities, or supporting the Business Development teams around the UK to increase their client penetration, maximise any opportunity to promote their services, and increase their Tender win rate.
Experience:
Our unrivalled knowledge and experience of the construction sector combined with our marketing and presentation skills allowed us to communicate with WD Senior Management and Business Development on an equal level. No time was wasted explaining construction processes, terminology or target audiences. More often we would be called in and presented with situations and provided consultancy to; maximise WD brand exposure, manage projects to ensure fulfilment of the brief and the deadlines are achieved, and most crucially ensure audience engagement.
This happened on the ‘School Cool Wall’ project. Together we designed an online version of BBC Top Gear Cool Wall, but for Schools. The web site featured a coolness rating ranging from Seriously Uncool to Sub-zero and within this range, pupils, teachers and parents were asked to drag-and-drop things that every school requires, needs and wants – such as playground equipment, laptops, and heated swimming pools! Once the completion deadline passed WD had a complete picture of what the most important aspects of the school were as indicated by the key stakeholders of the project.
Work:
Working at Board and Senior Management level within the WD Group we have collaborated on hundreds of projects over the years. These range from producing the VIP invitations for the annual WD sponsored Ascot Race day, to organising and delivering the opening day at a new Academy is South London. We have also made significant positive differences to the bids we have been involved in, and have designed and produced many bespoke brochures, exhibitions and web applications for all the WD offices.
