Nila is a food and beverage wholesaler, based in West London, and is a true success story where our sales and marketing skills combined with their business model has increased sales and profit.
Nila wanted to move their business online, and had an antiquated web presence that attracted few hits and no sales. Our initial engagement with them led to us devising a digital marketing strategy that led to over £500k of online business within a 24 month period.
By creating a web site that integrated with their business process we have also reduced the amount of administrative staff necessary to complete client orders and dispatch goods.
Solution:
During the initial engagement with the client we analysed the volume of products that they supplied to the market and the methods that they were using to distribute this information to the existing and potential client base. This was primarily a quarterly catalogue with a print run of 15,000. It made up a large proportion of the sales and marketing budget.
Our strategy was to create an extensive database of the product range using the existing photography and copy that would allow sales on line, easy update of prices and with the ability to export this to a digital catalogue and send via e-mail. Propeller designed and delivered a brand new e-commerce website which allowed Nila to add new categories, products, and SKUs, vary sales quantities and pricing, apply variable rates of VAT, and build a customer database.
The back-end process has allowed dispatch notes and order confirmations to be created automatically as a part of the client interaction with the system.
Outcome:
Nila’s sales function is now handled primarily online. They have acquired, and can service, hundreds of commercial customers, which is growing their business at a remarkable rate. They continually develop their product range to include new products and the volume and value of their sales grows every single month.
